On Thursday in Zanesfield, Ohio, Shannon Hodge gathered both French language and Spanish language students from the Bellefontaine High School for a Cinco de Mayo fete at the petanque courts. As you probably know, Cinco de Mayo celebrates a Mexican victory over the French back in 1862 in the town of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican war. We older folks also played and practiced into the evening hours.
