6/13/2026 WWQ qualifying rounds

 









Shirley was playing, so she was unable to get very many pictures of the action, but the 16 teams each played five games on Saturday to determine seeding for Sunday elimination play.

The finishing order on Saturday is shown below:

6/12/2026Practice day for Women's World Qualifier

 
















The 2026 WWQ kicked off on Friday at 2500 Queen St., Miller Park, in Winston-Salem. Many of the best women players in the United States were attending. The 16 doubles teams are to compete on Saturday and Sunday for a berth in the 2027 World Championships to be held in Sweden.


 Congratulations to Suzy Lee, pictured here on the right with her partner Lisa Skerl, for winning the shooting contest. Great job, Suzy!

 

6/11/2026 Lexington

 




Lynda was off to Wilmington. We were home playing petanque, visiting with friends, and baking cookies.

 


 Lynda's weekend with friends included bluegrass music by Mason Via who is married to Waverly, the daughter of some friends Lynda went to high school with here in Lexington.

6/10/2026 GSO & CLT

 






After regularly scheduled play on Wednesday morning in Greensboro at Tanger Gardens, Shirley & I returned home to Lexington before, later in the evening, traveling to the Charlotte airport to pick up our daughter Lynda. 

She's staying the night with us before traveling east to Wilmington to visit friends on Thursday.
