Carolina Petanque in Texas

Carolina Petanque had two players in the weekend tournaments held in Austin Texas. Earl Lovell, with his partner Linda Schryver, finished third in the Consolante in Sunday's HOT (Heart of Texas) Tournament. Walt Elder, with his partner Christophe Chambers, finished second in the HOT Tournament Concours. Nice job, Earl, Walt, and all who participated.

Our good Texas friends Amine and Arsene won both tournaments! Great achievement, guys! Here is Arsene's Facebook writeup of the results:

HOT NEWS! We made history! This was the first time in the history of the Heart of Texas that a team won a FPUSA Regional as well as our annual HOT Tournament. Two completely different tournaments in two different location in one weekend. Wow! No wonder no one in 9 years was able to win both. But we stay concentrated and we went all the way.
The finals was composed of four great players Christophe Chambers, Walt Elder,Amine Najah and Arsene Dupin. The game was full of excitement, we were trailing each other all the way to the end but Amine and Arsene finished 13/12
