Day one at RendezVous French Restaurant, owned by Carolina Petanque's Michel Baudouin, for the Legends of Petanque training tour featuring Marco Foyot and Christian Fazzino.
The North Carolina event, sponsored by Obut and Petanque America, is the first of a series of USA appearances which include stops in Portland, Oregon; Sonoma, California; Amelia Island, Florida; and Brooklyn, New York.
Kudos to Angie Gleason (Marco's spouse) for arranging and producing the tour!
Tuesday sessions included training in the mechanics of petanque pointing and shooting as well as tips on strategy.
While I'm sure that everyone picked up some useful advice, the focus of the day was to have fun as well as learn. Mission accomplished!
