Shirley, Jane, and I made the drive up to Asheville on Monday to attend the upcoming Legends Tour event. Along the way we stopped at Peabody's in Boone to take a look at the petanque area. They are considering expanding the number of courts.
We had lunch at SANDEE'S CAFE in Newland before going on to Crossnore for a brief visit with our longtime friends Danny & Sue Daniels.
Evening found us at Best Western before ending up for dinner at Rocky's Hot Chicken Shack, owned by Carolina Petanque's Rich Cundiff. (Extraordinary chicken, by the way!)
