Friday practice

The local Morganton paper gave us some free publicity with an article about the upcoming tournament-- and those to come in the future. The front-page picture of Bo (photo: Memo Garcia) was, unfortunately, captioned with the blurb that should have accompanied the picture of Shirley on page 3. Still, nice write-up about our efforts to start and grow petanque in western North Carolina.

With Morganton's venue in play (16 courts) and Asheville's ready for play (8 courts at the coming-this-fall French restaurant, Rendezvous), we hope petanque is here to stay in the area.
