Friday and Saturday in Texas

The reason for our trip!!!
At the Hangar

Another one of the gang
Shirley and I arrived in Texas on Wednesday afternoon.  We're out to see Rob, Lynda, Marin, Maeve, and Myles for the holidays.  The first picture above is at a local festival where they had snow making equipment and entertainment for the children.  Zip-lines, sledding, carnival games, cake walks, and food vendors provided the major attractions.

On Friday afternoon we met up with a few members of the Heart of Texas Petanque Club for play at the Browning Mueller Hangar http://texdraft.wordpress.com/2009/03/14/historic-browning-hangar-at-mueller/
just outside of the downtown Austin area.  It was cold and raining hard, but the hangar provided shelter from the rain and we dressed for the cold, so it was a fun afternoon of playing with our friends that we had not seen since August.
