Finding a cool spot?
Temperatures only hit 96degrees yesterday-- a little less than the triple digit forecasts had warned.  It was still hot enough to discourage all but the most avid players.  Fred and Tom showed up to brave the heat and challenge Shirley and myself over a long ( five hours) afternoon of play at Miller Park.

We had taken the precaution of bringing umbrellas AND a generator with two fans to help us tolerate the heat and make play more enjoyable.  The combination of slightly lower than expected temperatures caused by occasional cloud cover, the umbrellas, the fans, and playing in the area nearest the shade provided by the treeline actually made it very bearable.  At least that was the consensus of the four who were brave (foolish?) enough to show up in the first place!
