Parisian Promenade 2015

The 2015 version of the "celebration of all things French," called the Parisian Promenade, was held yesterday at Tanger Bicentennial Gardens in Greensboro, NC.  For about eight years Carolina Petanque has participated by hosting a site that lets children and adults alike try their hand at playing OUR game.  We lay out a section of gravel driveway, about 35 meters long, into a passable petanque terrain and show participants and spectators the way to play and have fun.

Many, many thanks to Danny, Sue D, Rick, Maggie, Rebekah, Fred, and Bob for helping Shirley and me staff the area.  And a special thanks to Warren and Fran who, even though they've only played with our group once, came out and helped too.

Also, we want to thank Johnny and Ryan, Greensboro Parks and Recreation employees, for inviting us and supplying new timbers, picnic tables, pop-up-shelters, and gravel to make our efforts a success.
