Special event in Charlotte (2/21/2026)

Petanque America hosted a mini-tournament for a convention of chefs. Marc and Michel sent this to invite people to attend:

We are excited to announce...

Carolina Pétanque is hosting “Introduction to Pétanque” at The Olde Mecklenburg Restaurant & Biergarten at Ballantyne (OMB) in the south Charlotte area on Saturday Feb. 21st from 11 am – 3:00 pm.
This is a beautiful brewery which typically has a large turnout on Saturdays. The patio area is graveled and perfect for playing pétanque. A great location to spread the word about our addictive sport while also having a fun afternoon outdoors... and possibly a few beers to boot.
There will be 8 to 10 courts set up for the afternoon this coming Saturday. Carolina Pétanque players are welcome to come out and support the introduction by playing games amongst themselves and assisting in creating a welcoming pétanque environment. Our trainers will be teaching the game throughout the afternoon to OMB patrons.
Looking forward to seeing you Saturday,
Marc

Mica and Stephane hosted their first 2nd Saturday play at Nevin Park in Charlotte. Play there has only been monthly on the 3rd Saturday for many years, but out area coordinator team of Mica and Stephane are expanding to twice-a-month so look forward to playing on both the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays going forward!
