Lots of new players at Miller Park (12/7/2025)

 

We had quite a turnout for Sunday play in Winston-Salem at Miller Park. Scott brought his granddaughter Mackenzie. Walk-up players included Jay, Sierra, Sidney, and Gray. 

The cold, dreary, and windy day still saw about two dozen players! Of course, the word was out that Preston was cooking hot dogs on the grill, so that might have propted a few people to come and share food contributions with the group.

Couldn't have been better--even with the weather!

Kirk & Bo hosted Saturday play and social in a pre Christmas get-together. Great rowd of great people!

Holiday Exoress festival in Raleigh

 

Jesse &  Holly, Bob & Kaye, and some more of the Raleigh crowd of Carolina Petanque have been participating in Pullen Park Holiday Express festival of lights that is going on in December. Check out the link for more info. 

We decided to make the trip east to help out. Preston. John, Mary Jo, Janet, Shirley, and I all piled into our old Dodge Van and went over to assist with the petanque area. Eva & Gail, along with Gail's sister Judy, also joined us and were a great help. It was a cold night, but we joined Bob &Kaye for a few hours of playing, instructing, and entertaining the kids.

As you can see, it's a regular winter wonderland at night. You still have a little time to drop by if you're in the area or able to make the trip.
