The first group of pictures at the top is of the place we stayed. Mike Owens and Shirley had decided to play as a team some time back, and I decided to make the trip as well-- just to see friends, see Louisiana, see the Thibodaux club, and help with umpiring if needed.
So, Mike had arranged with Penn Weldon and Sally Barbier for us to stay at their place just outside of Thibodaux. Wow! It's a real jewel.
The other snaps are pretty much self-explanatory.

We had a wonderful time!! Many thanks to Penn and Sally, Guy and Catherine, Mike Owens, many many club members!! Everyone was super!! Every part of the weekend was enjoyable. Even the rainy Saturday afternoon, when we could not play pétanque, but, had to “dry out” at “the house” with fellow Pétanquers, Tracie Jeffries and Marc and Kathy. Lots of fun conversation. Thank you to everyone. Will definite plan to attend another tournament.
