Our friends from Pelion, SC, Rick&Maggie met us at Catawba River Soccer Complex in Morganton for Thursday afternoon petanque.
We had about a dozen players and enjoyed several games.
Afterwards, Rick, Maggie, Jane, Shirley, Danny, Sue, and I made a quick trip over to the Collett Street recreation facility where they play indoor petanque, with special boules by Obut, on Wednesdays. We all threw a few boules to get the feel of how the boules would play.
On the way back to Lincolnton for the night, Jane, Rick, Maggie, Shirley, and I had supper at Rancho Viejo Mexican Grill in Hickory.
