Sharing space with the Senior Gamers

Chuck Vestal

Most of our regular Wednesday morning players were surprised to find the Miller Park parking lot at near capacity as they arrived. No, we didn't have a ton of new petanque recruits, though that would have been nice. The Piedmont Senior Games people of Winston-Salem were holding a regional Senior Games horseshoe event in the pit area immediately adjacent to our terrains.

As a matter of fact, Shirley and Gail played horseshoes for most of the morning, only joining in for the last game of petanque. We did get a LOT of questions from the horseshoe players and the Miller Park seniors leader, Chuck Vestal, announced our play times and encouraged people to come visit with us.
