Carolina Petanque and Petanque America in W-S

The 2024 Piedmont Plus Senior Games Kickoff event was held on Friday, January 19th, at Hanes Hosiery Community Center located at 501 Reynolda Blvd in Winston-Salem, NC.

Carolina Petanque and Petanque America joined forces to provide information about petanque play and equipment, including some demonstration and instruction with indoor boules.

We had a very good turnout and lots of interest from the event attendees.

Great weather for Sunday play

We had a really nice day of play at Miller Park on Sunday with weather in the 50s and bright sun. It looks like colder weather is headed our way (see below) for the week, but it didn't affect Sunday play at all.

Thursday play in Morganton

Since we had played indoor boules in Morganton on Wednesday, we stayed over in Lincolnton for one night and traveled back to Morganton for Thursday afternoon play.

Nice, sunny day.

Our first play of 2024

Since we spent the holiday season visiting with family in Spicewood, Texas, 1/7/2024 marked our first play of the year. Shirley forgot her phone, so I asked Preston to make a picture or two.

We had 14 players on a cool day in Winston-Salem.

Three lanes of play on 3rd Saturday in Charlotte. Good to have Abdallah and Mourhite back  after some absence.
