Shirley and I went to regular Wednesday morning play in Greensboro before departing, our petanque cargo trailer in tow, for our Lincolnton home in anticipation of the weekend's tournaments in Morganton.
As we usually do, we made the Lincolnton house our home base since it's only about a 40 minute drive across I40 to the Catawba River Soccer Complex, home of Morganton petanque.
We planned to have Mike Owens, Jane Cameron, and Honor Woodard as house guests for some or all of the days leading up to, and through, the Mid-America Regional Men's Doubles on Saturday and the Mid-America Regional Mixed Doubles on Sunday.
Busy, busy.
