Bob and Kaye continue to do GREAT work promoting petanque in Raleigh!

Sunday at Miller (minus the Joneses!)

Preston advises that they had 24(!) players yesterday at Miller Park--seven of which were new players. It looks as though we won't be missed too much while we're in Texas with turnouts like that!

Last Carolina play for us this year?

Shirley and I joined Marc, Juan, Jane, Mike (Owens), and Tracie Jeffries for play in Hickory on Tuesday evening in what will likely be our last play in the Carolinas in 2021.

We're off soon to see Rob, Lynda, and the GRANDkids for the holidays in Spicewood, Texas.

We'll likely have some TX play to report.

P.S.--

After Tuesday night's Hickory play, Jane and Mike returned with us to Lincolnton. We played the next day on our court there, so I guess Tuesday night wasn't our last Carolina play after all!

Aftermath--Miller Park on Sunday

After all the fun and excitement of Saturday's tournament in Morganton, it was back to the real world of Sunday afternoon social play at Miller Park in Winston-Salem.

Lucky for us though, several of Saturday's players in Morganton also showed up in W-S. Larry, Lori Beth, Al, Heidi, Michelle, Mike (Owens), and many of our W-S/GSO regulars were in attendance.

There were also several new players--courtesy of Amy--whose names I failed to record. Apologies. Hope you can come back again!

Carolina Petanque's best finishers on Saturday were at Miller on Sunday. Congrats again to John & Mary Jo. Silver medalists in a strong field!

Also, congratulations to Al Davison of Classic City Petanque for passing his Club Umpire test!
