In anticipation of the upcoming Carolina Petanque Challenge, we had a few people staying at our Lexington home. Mike Owens from Louisiana, Kristy Koranda from Iowa, and Rick & Maggie Sweeney from South Carolina manged to get in a few games on our home court.

Shirley and I try to play at our Greensboro venue most Wednesdays as it is our closest-to-home venue other than Winston-Salem.

5/19/2026 Indoor soft boules finale at Kernersville for the season

 

Shirley informs that due to day camps having use of the gyms, 5/19 was the final for this season. Play is expected to resume first of September.

5/17/2026 Piedmont Plus Senior Games

 

 

Although we had 27 players participating this year in the Petanque event, and awards were given in both male and female divisions, further separated into various age groups, we play our game most often with teams that disregard gender & age,

So the panache mixed all participants together when randomly forming teams.

Shown above are the top-ten finishers overall. Congratulations to Scott Seifer for his number one finish!
