Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Miller Park

Great petanque weather brought out sixteen players for our regularly-scheduled Sunday play in Winston-Salem.

Preston advised that Tess's knee surgery went well and she's beginning the process of recovery.

Morganton (9/24/22)

Shirley being serious?!

People are starting the tuneup process for the upcoming FPUSA Men's National Triples championships, coming up soon on October 8th in Morganton.

Shirley, Max, and I started the court preparation on Friday afternoon, pulling weeds, burning dead grass from the courts, taking up all the old, semi-rotted string, and general raking/grooming.

The pictures here are from Saturday morning's regular play; the weed pulling process continued as, for once, "gardening" was not only allowed, but encouraged!

John's Medal

We ate at Texas Roadhouse on way to Lincolnton

We had a great morning of play at Greensboro on Wednesday.

The highlight was, as you can see from the announcement John & Mary Jo sent out regarding play, getting to "meet," in person, one member of the BRONZE medal triples team fresh home from the past weekend's Atlanta Open. 😃

Congratulations again, John, Juan, and Marc!

We've had quite a few people, some of whom have been playing socially for a while now, join after Labor Day to take advantage of the FPUSA guidelines that allow those doing so to have a membership that is good through the subsequent year.

The people shown here are already members through December 31. 2023!

In Winston-Salem (9/18)

We wrapped up our abbreviated tour of venues with Sunday play in Winston-Salem. That made five of the last six days we played at various locations.

Rest now?

Then Wednesday at Greensboro!
