Winston-Salem on 11/20/2022

Maggie, Jane, Gail, Rick, Fred, Bob, Gary, & Rom.

Eleven players braved the cold and wind at Miller Park in W-S on Sunday. Eight are pictured above. John Wilson and Tina left a little early and Shirley was our photographer.

That concluded five straight days of play--each time at a different venue--for Shirley, Jane, me.

Charlotte--11/19/2022

We were 13 (plus kids) at Nevin Park on Sunday for 3rd Saturday play. Rick, Maggie, Ed, Anne, Eric, Lydie, Guillaume, Sylvia&Rick (from Concord), Jane, Isobel, Shirley, and I had a great afternoon, even though it was a little cold with the wind.

Lincolnton on 11/18/2022

Shirley and I hosted seven others (Rick, Maggie, Tracie, Mike (Vail), Fred (Marchant), Jane, and Max) at 1071 Walker Branch Road, Lincolnton, on Friday, 11/18.

Morganton on 11/17/2022

Shirley and I, with our good friend Jane Cameron, began a tour of some of Carolina Petanque Club's venue on Wednesday, 11/16, at Tanger Gardens in Greensboro, but failed to get any pictures. From memory, I think we had sixteen players--good for cool weather.

Then on Thursday we played at Catawba River Soccer (and Petanque!) Complex in Morganton with ten players in our group.

Sunday, 11/13/2022--Final day of Amelia Island Open

Dawn, Jacques Pepin, Shirley, and Jane

I had hoped to have more results regarding our players' finishes from the Amelia Island Open Facebook page, but they've only posted the top four finishers so far.

Huge congratulations to all the top finishers and especially to Dylan Rocher/Gian Carlo Lanfranco, this year's CHAMPIONS.

They defeated the German team of Matthias Laukhart/Sanke Backens in a tremendous FINALS 13-12.

If I get additional info, I'll update the blog.
