Melee play in GSO

Spectators

The crowds just keep on coming to Tanger Gardens (1105 Hobbs Rd, Greensboro). I think we had 21 players on our four courts--just 3 short of maximum!

For us, it was our fifth day in a row playing--Charlotte, Asheville, Lexington (two days), and Greensboro.

We're scheduled for off days Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, though we're tempted by Saturday play in Raleigh (4th Saturday this month regular than the usual 3rd Saturday). We'll see.

Then it's Sunday and Miller Park in Winston-Salem.

Petanque "Camp"-- Day Two

Jane stayed over one more night on Monday, so Shirley called a few people to see if anyone happened to be available for more petanque and swimming pool activity on Tuesday. We got a couple of takers as Fred came down from W-S and Tina came over from Candor.

We may try to do more of this as the weather remains HOT! Make us aware if you'd be interested in coming over on short notice and we'll put you on our call list.

Petanque and swimsuits at the Jones house

Jane Cameron went with us to Nevin Park on Saturday, RENDEZVOUS on Sunday, and back with us to Lexington on Monday. We talked her into hanging out at our place on Monday and spent the day in and out of the swimming pool and back and forth to the petanque court.

Jane won a 13-6 game while playing six boules against Shirley and me when she tried and made a shot for five! Of course, we attributed her success to our coaching prowess.

Wonderful fun at RENDEZVOUS in recognition of Bastille Day. Congratulations to Marc/Juan (GOLD), Bill/Rich (SILVER), and Kathy/Tracie (BRONZE).

Sue Daniels' great pointing enabled our team to win five of our six games and grab the winner's slot in the Consolante.

Thanks to everyone for participating and to Michel for having us.
