Greensboro, Tanger Gardens

It was John Wilson's birthday yesterday; I won't divulge his age, but suffice it to say, he's pretty old now.

Mary Jo brought cupcakes for the crowd. We so enjoy special occasion days.

We announced that Rich Goldsmith came through his heart surgery and is recovering in-hospital for a few days. Wonderful news.

We also announced that Paul Kindley has sold his Greensboro home--it sold on the first listing day--and will be moving off to The Villages in Florida in a few weeks. We wish him well but hate to see him go.

Much of the talk was around Greensboro players with recent exemplary tournament results. Frank and Jim won the consolante bracket at the Mid-America Regional Men's Doubles in Morganton. Their very first tournament and they were "in the money." Great job, guys!

In the Mid-America Regional Mixed Doubles, John and Tina won silver medals for finishing in second place with 22 teams competing!

Finally, Shirley and Tina had their pictures taken commemorating their third place medals in May's Women's World Qualifier in Morganton. They didn't get pictures the day of the tournament, as rain caused Tina to leave for her long drive home before medals were awarded.
