Sunday at Miller Park

Preston and Tess brought some of Winston-Salem's famous, nationally-known KrispyKreme doughnuts to share. See what you miss when you miss Sunday play at Miller Park!

3rd Saturday in December--Nevin Park in Charlotte

Only six players, nut Mariam came for support. We were very happy to welcome Khalid back into the fold--home from Morocco for a while.

12/14/2022 Wednesday play at Tanger Gardens

 Small crowds--BIG FUN.

12/11/2022 at Miller Park

With high temperatures struggling to reach 50F, and cold winds making it feel much lower, the crowds are starting to dwindle for Carolina play.

Nevertheless, those of us who came out for regular Sunday afternoon play had very enjoyable afternoon of play--we just quit closer to 4PM than 5PM. That's the way it will be for a while.

Deck the Boules

Many of us gathered at the Spruce Pine, NC, home of Kirk, Bo, and Parker for fellowship and play celebrating the Holiday Season.

There were appetizers, hotdogs, burgers, delicious sides, and desserts galore for sustenance. Play continued throughout the afternoon, but the warmth of the house and the FIFA World Cup match between France and England drew quite a good number to the TV.

Thanks, Edwards family, for a immensely enjoyable afternoon.

Amelia Island Open Results

The final results are in from the 11/13/2022 Amelia Island Open Tournament in Florida.

Carolina Petanque had two teams finishing "in the money." BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Michel & Adam for their fifth place finish in Group B. Another BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Marc and Juan for their third place finish in Group C.

Sunday, December 4. 2022

Eleven players at Miller Park on a cool day in December.

We were extremely happy to welcome Dr. Ed Shoaf's brother, Rob, to our group in Winston-Salem for the first time.

Ed had told us during our last Charlotte play that Rob was likely going to attend at some point. We hope his Sunday appearance will be the first of many.

November 27, 2022: As the days get a little cooler, the crowds get a little smaller. Late fall in the Carolinas.

Morganton, regular Saturday play

We played in Morganton on the 26th, along with Bill, Dawn, Dick, Marc, Danny, Sue, Max, Ed, Teng, and Tracie.

Also, we were happy to have Bill's sister and brother-in-law--visiting from Germany--as spectators.
