Duke University, contacted Carolina Petanque and set up a date for some of our members to provide instructions on playing the French game of petanque and the club made it happen on Wednesday evening despite thunderstorms and the threat of more to come.
BIG thanks to Mary Jo Wilson, John Wilson, Karen Peck, June Koster, Kaye Taliana, Bob Robertson, and Fabien (a new contact in the Durham area to whom we apologize for failing to write down his last name!) who, with a little help from Shirley and me, provided a minimal introduction to the game. Mary Jo, , and Fabien even did it in French!
