Congratulations to the winners pictured above, with a special mention of Carolina Petanque's own Honor Woodard who teamed with Florida players Alex Canesse and Stefan Nichols to win the third place BRONZE MEDAL!
There were sixteen teams competing.
Gail Jerge teamed with Amelia Island players Patrick and Devin Hovan and was eliminated in the Consolante (Consolation) bracket quarter-finals round.
Carolina's other two teams were tied for seventh place after three qualifying rounds so they both made the Concours (Championship) bracket.
Marc Quilici, Juan Hernandez, and Kathy Cline played against the number two seeded team of Honor/Alex/Stefan and lost in the quarter-finals.
Shirley Jones, Jane Cameron, and Mike Owens played against the number one seeded team of Salem Tatoui, Gilles Canesse and Jackie Plecsas and lost in the quarter-finals.
Salem, Gilles, and Jackie went on to win the tournament.
