Petanque Amelia Open 2017

 Carolina Petanque's young star, Parker Edwards, had a prominently featured role in the 2017 edition of the Petanque Amelia Open. Parker was the team captain and shooter for Team PanAm which included Rosendo Ramos (Mexico), Daniel Lafrance (Canada), and Guan Carlo Lanfranco (Peru). They were coached by Tom Leon (Amelia Island) and Memo Garcia (Mexico).

Opposing Team PanAm was Team Toro/USA which included Axel Cazenave , Christian Cazenave, and Jean-Pierre Subrenat (USA National Triples Champions), along with Xavier Thibaud (former Petanque America Open Champion). They were coached by Claudy Weibel (Belgium) and Camille Durand (France).

Though I have not seen a posting of all results on Sunday, I can report that the 2017 Champions of the Petanque Amelia Open were Claudy Weibel and Jean-Pierre Subrenat.
