Shirley was contacted by Michael Corrado earlier in the year concerning the possibility of a petanque terrain in the Chapel Hill area. She had not heard of any progress, so chose to reconnect recently. She and Michael agreed to set a date for her to drive over and look at the location.
The plans are for a community terrain near a clubhouse that serves a community of some 60, more or less, homes.
The project is still in the discussion stage, but Shirley committed to get back for more talks after the October 8th National Men's Triples tournament to be held in Morganton, where she will serve as Tournament Director.
