Cherri had her 50th birthday on Friday, so we had planned to have a hotdog & hamburger cookout at Miller Park on Sunday. Unfortunately, the weather forecast didn't look good. It showed a 90% chance of rain at our usual start time of 1:00 PM.
So, we moved the luncheon indoors to a local restaurant (Mayberry's). The food was good and the service was great (thanks, Jessi), so everything worked out fine.
Of course, the weather for the afternoon turned out to be fine also, so we had our usual Sunday afternoon play at Miller Park after the luncheon was over.
Ryan and Madeline joined us for the first time. They just moved to Durham from Philadelphia, and Madeline's mom lives in Winston-Salem, so we hope to see more of them.
We also welcomed James Stevens for the first time in months. He's had health problems, but he's doing well enough to play again now.
