In the morning, Shirley drove me to Greensboro for my appointment with Dr. Sebastian, I was able to wheel myself into the facility with some help from Shirley.
The epidural steroid injection that I received for pain relief from my lumbar spinal canal stenosis was over quickly with absolutely no pain to me. Then the wait began to see if it would work.
On the way home we drove through Ivey M. Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville (788 Beeson Rd.) to scout out the venue as a possible location for the 2025 Carolina Petanque Open. As most of you know, our Morganton terrain was supposed to host, but the damage from hurricane Helene was significant enough that the park is closed--possibly until sometime in the fall but maybe longer.
Kernersville looks very promising. We'll keep you posted.
