We were happy to have FOUR new players yesterday at Miller Park (2500 Queen Street, Winston-Salem, NC).

Eric and Shane were pitching horseshoes when Shirley and I arrived at the park. So, Shirley walked over and invited them to join our group for a while.

Then, about the time we were ready to begin play, Marco and Katie walked up to me and asked if we were going to be playing petanque. They had driven over from Hillsborough (near Chapel Hill), about an hour's drive.

They had found our group by searching for "petanque" on the internet and decided to come play. As time passed, we learned an amazing fact from Marco. As it turns out, he's step-brother to our friend  Artem Zuev!

 Maybe, if it works out, Artem might be persuaded to play with Carolina Petanque when he's in the area?
