Wednesday, 9/13/2023, began the process of getting ready for the weekend's 2023 version of the Carolina Petanque Open. Shirley and I towed our cargo trailer to Catawba River Soccer (and petanque) Complex in Morganton, NC, to string the courts and do general raking, weeding, and other prep work.
We had a lot of help and the work part of the day went quickly. Afterwards, we even managed to get in a few games!
We returned to Lincolnton in the evening and visited with Don E. Baker from Ohio as well as Mike Owens from Louisiana who were both staying with us for the rest of tournament week.
