The World Games Women's Doubles Petanque was contested by eight countries. They were Belgium, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Thailand, and the United States.
After the first two rounds of play, Belgium and Canada were eliminated having lost both games.
In the third (barrage) round, Cambodia eliminated Denmark and Germany eliminated the United States.
In semifinals play, Cambodia defeated Thailand and France defeated Germany.
Cambodia defeated France to win GOLD, making France SILVER. Thailand defeated Germany to take the BRONZE.
Shirley had a great time on her birthday, and we capped it with a nice steak at a SALTGRASS near our hotel.
