Zanesfield Memorial Day weekend kicked off with a panache on Friday afternoon. Play consisted of three rounds with players having different partners each round. The top six individual scorers moved on to the Finals with the top three seeds playing seeds 4 thru 6.
The event was won by Larry Creasy (Boules de Leon), Kristy Koranda (ZPC), and Shirley Jones (CarolinaPetanque). Runners-up were Maggie Sweeney (CarolinaPetanque), Ron Walls (ZPC), and Carla Phillips (CarolinaPetanque).
The panache Finals were followed by a pointing contest. The winner was Donnie Baker (CarolinaPetanque). Second place went to Rick Sweeney (CarolinaPetanque). And third place went to Ron Walls (ZPC).
The after-party, for those who were still hanging around and wanted to go, was at BREWFONTAINE in Bellefontaine.
