Saturday at Nevin Park

Southern way to start a Saturday

We had a hot, but fun, day of play in Charlotte at Nevin Park. Maggie, Rick, and Jane had played in Hickory on Friday afternoon/evening/night (we started at 2PM and played till 9!) then traveled with us back to Lincolnton to spend the night, so they were all in Charlotte on Saturday.

Good news from Eric and Lydie--they now both have green cards for permanent status in the US!

Guillaume was the best shooter of the afternoon. He's becoming more and more consistent.

Tess and Preston made a rare Charlotte appearance.

Ed and Anne sent regrets. They were visiting in Maryland.

Mourhite and Mariam were there and he played particularly well. Mariam didn't play this time, but I'm sure she'll be playing more in the future.

Denyse hosted the unusual 2nd Saturday play. She'll be among the Carolina Petanque players who'll be traveling down to Atlanta next weekend for the National Women's Doubles. They'll also have National Men's Doubles and National Mixed Doubles--thus no 3rd Saturday petanque at Nevin Park.

Guillaume will be having 3rd Saturday play at his home piste in Charlotte for those who can make it.
