Several of us got together and made a weekend trip down to Carolina Beach, North Carolina, to visit with fellow club members and good friends Bobby and Peggy Huffman. They have a vacation home right on the Intracoastal Waterway wnd within a couple of blocks walk to the Atlantic Ocean.
Though their beach house is a three bedroom accommodation, Shirley and I took our little travel trailer to provide a fourth bedroom since we were joined by Danny/Sue and Rick/Maggie on the trip. It worked out just great and we had a beautiful spot in the side yard looking out onto the water.
Of course, we found plenty of time to play a little driveway petanque between trips to the beach, the downtown resort area, and local seafood restaurants. Wonderful time! Thanks, Bobby and Peggy. It was a pleasure as always, and we'll look forward to the next time.
