Spring Tournament in Germany

A few weeks ago Christoph Muller joined a few of us to play in a hard rain at Griffith Park in Winston-Salem.  Some of you no doubt saw pictures on Facebook or on the blog.  Anyway, Christoph was in the United States for only a short time on a work-related trip from Germany.  He made contact through the internet and drove about two hours on a rainy day to join us for play.

He promised at the time to send us pictures of an upcoming tournament at his home club.  Above are a few of the photos he sent.  It's amazing to see how wonderful the playing facilities are in places where petanque is more popular than it is in the US.  It allows us to see how things might be here someday if we continue to promote the game.
