It's been awhile since we've played at Nevin Park in Charlotte, so we made the trip west on Tuesday to meet Khalid, Tom, Carol, Frank, and Denyse for some weekday play.  The terrain has gotten to be really soft since they added more gravel screenings, and we had to rake a lot of it to one end of the court in an attempt to get down to firmer ground.  As you can see from the first picture above, we were only partially successful. When one of my lobs bounced onto, rather than over, some obstructing boules, the boules were sunken into the surface enough not to move.  It was a first for all of us-- never seen a pyramid formed in play!
