Welcome back, Abdallah!

We were happy to have Abdallah rejoin the group after an extended absence for a visit to Morocco. The Saturday morning play in Morganton drew a nice crowd of players and we were glad to be there for the first time in a while.

Anna gets all the credit for the idea of letting the sprinklers run for either a mad dash through, or, in my case, a good soaking several times throughout the play.

Guys played Gals-- can you tell who won?

The first layers of gravel have been laid, to the point where we actually tried playing there on Thursday instead of our usual maintenance road/driveway location. At first, the surface seemed okay even though we realized there were more gravel layers to be added. However, as we played, it appeared that the weed barrier between the coarse base level gravel and the finer dust of the second layer was having a trampolining effect. More tinkering to come.
