Shirley took a few pictures before play began on Sunday for the 2025 Mid-America Women's Triples. Preston Myers made opening remarks and announcements and John Wilson made umpire announcements. John was joined in the umpiring duties by Rickamer Hoover from Athens, GA.

Preston kicked off the weekend with practice and hotdogs on the grill at Miller Park in Winston-Salem. Out-of-towners began to arrive in anticipation of Sunday's Mid-America Regional Women's Triples.

 Wonderful news about Chris Paccione's recent surgery! Chris and his son Sebastian surprised us by showing up for a while on Sunday. It looks as though he'll be playing again in no time.

Birthday play 9/5/25

 

Gail Dickerson joined with other Carolina Petanque members at her sister, Judy's, house for a game or two in the yard in celebration of Judy's birthday. Judy is a regular at indoor boules in Kernersville.

Shirley and I try to make it over to play with our Greensboro friends as often as possible. Don't forget they play on Monday afternoon as well as Wednesday and Friday mornings. (1105 Hobbs Rd.)

Indoor boules resumes 9/2/25

 

Kernersville has resumed indoor play on Tuesdays at 1:30 PM. Those of you who enjoy the indoor game, and those of you who have not yet tried it, are invited to the Kernersville Recreation and Event Center located at 1020 Shields Rd., Kernersville, NC.
