As much as we hated to miss Saturday play at Nevin Park in Charlotte, we decided to make the trip west up to Mt. Pisgah on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a special event organized by Jesse Israel and Robin Harvey.
They hosted a pizza picnic plus a petanque sauvage gathering at the Mt. Pisgah picnic area. It was a really great, fun party with fifty people attending.
It just goes to show that petanque can be played and enjoyed on a social level as well as a more serious competition sport.
