The arrival of cooler weather will probably reduce our turnout at all the venues, but Greensboro continues to have sixteen or more for most regular play dates. Come join us on Wednesdays at 1:00 PM and enjoy fall weather in Carolina. 1105 Hobbs Rd, Greensboro.

Halloween tournament winners in Newark, Ohio

 

Congratulations to Carolina Petanque's Gregorio and Jen Martinez for winning a Halloween tournament in Ohio!

They are both new CPC members this year, and though we may not be able to see them often, we're happy and proud to have them.

Thanks, Jen, for sending the picture. We hope you'll be able to keep us posted on tournaments up your way in order that we can share the news.

Greensboro play (10/26/2022)

 

Shirley and I played one last time on Wednesday afternoon, October 26, before beginning our trip out to Spicewood, Texas, to visit with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. There will continue to be play, of course, during our ten-day absence.

Don E. Baker was down from Ohio!

Khalid brought a beautiful gift from his family in Morocco!

Mariam and Mouhrite provided us with a really special treat on Sunday, October 23, at Miller Park in Winston-Salem. They prepared and served traditional food from their native Morocco to the Sunday afternoon crowd. The presentation was extraordinary--as was the food!

Many, many thanks for going to all the effort such an event had to require.
