Denyse proposed a special Second Saturday session at Nevin Park in Charlotte since the Mid-America Mixed Doubles tournament is scheduled for Morganton on the Third Saturday this month.

This was supposed to be the year we cut back a little on our petanque travel and limited play to no more than two days a week. Somehow, it hasn't worked out that way.

We've become regulars at Winston-Salem on Sunday; Hickory on Tuesday; Greensboro on Thursday; and either Charlotte or Morganton on Saturday.

Petanque-- a tough habit to break!

Shirley and I have gotten into the habit of traveling to Hickory every Tuesday evening for indoor petanque in Marc's warehouse. The play is very competitive and the companionship first rate.

Miller Park continues to draw good crowds, in large part due to the efforts of Preston and Tess as promoters. Sundays at 1:00 PM at 2500 Queen Street, Winston-Salem, NC.

Beginners encouraged and welcomed-- no experience pr equipment necessary.

The Tanger Gardens crowd held a special Saturday morning session to allow for a little time instructing some of our newer players in how to play the game. We are glad to see the interest continue to grow in Greensboro.

With just a little over two weeks remaining before the Mid-America Mixed Doubles tournament in Morganton, Shirley and I made the trip west to check out the condition of the courts and get in a little play with our Morganton friends.
