We had a nice group for regular Sunday afternoon play at Miller Park in Winston-Salem. Rom brought hotdogs for the grill and quite a few of us took the offer of a free lunch!

This could be the last time...

On Saturday, April 23, 2016, Terry and Sue Wien hosted Carolina Petanque members and associates along with others at their home on High Rock Lake in Lexington. As most of you probably know, the Wiens plan to move down to Florida later in the year, so the recent event may end up being the last get-together at their five courts in the woods at the lake.

Terry and Sue were founding members of Carolina Petanque back in 2007 and have been our friends for over thirty-five years. Though I'm sure they will continur to maintain a long-distance membership in Carolina Petanque, we'll miss seeing them here around town and playing on their wonderful terrain.

We hope to see them several more times before they pull up their North Carolina stakes and look forward to visiting them when they get settled in Florida. Any bets on whether Terry will construct a new terrain once they are comfortably situated in a new location?

Best wishes and love to them both,

--Gary and Shirley
