On the way (and in)- Athens, GA

 

The above photos are from our Friday stop in Mills River, NC. We went a little out of our way in order to check out the venue for the Carolina Open petanque tournament coming up in September.

 After which, we proceeded to drive down to Georgia to visit our friends at Classic City Petanque Club and attend their two-day SE Regional Mixed Triples on May 18-19.

Our final stop of the evening was at a local brewery called Terrapin for refreshments--and petanque!
