Sunday at Miller Park (7/24/2016)

Kirk, Bo, and Parker drove down from Boone where they had driven from Spruce Pine on Sunday. Bo said that since they were halfway to Winston-Salem (not really!) they just decided to come play. Everyone was glad to see them again after they had spent their vacation in Europe-- Turkey, France, and Spain,

As you can probably tell from the pictures, it was another really hot afternoon in the Piedmont. That has gotten to be a recurring theme this particular summer. Some of us discussed whether we might change our regular weekly play time at Miller Park from Sunday afternoon to Saturday morning for August in an effort to battle the heat. Shirley and I were not in favor of moving Sunday play to early morning because we want people to have the opportunity to attend church if they so desire. Saturday mornings might work though. We'll see.
