Champions! Tish, John, and Ed

Carolina Petanque was honored as the group traveling the longest distance to play!

Tish Harris, John Harris, and Ed Porto won the 2015 edition of the Furlan Open Triples tournament held over the 5th and 6th of September in Woodland (Sacramento), California.

Our own Denyse Haney, along with teammates Phominic and Mone, finished third overall (Concours). Frank Haney, along with teammates Simone and Scott, finished second in the Special Sunday Only tournament Consolante.

Denyse's team went 5&0 in Saturday qualifying and were seeded #1 going into Sunday. Shirely, Maggie, and I had a decent qualifying day on Saturday, finishing with a 3&2 record and 10th overall out of 23 teams, but we couldn't carry through the good play into Sunday and were eliminated after three straight losses.

Congratulations to Denyse and Frank for finishing in the money!
