Terry and Sue Wien hosted petanque as a featured attraction of their 2014/15 Superbowl party. We were lucky enough to have a nice day to play with temperatures in the low 50s and not much of a drop, if any, as night settled. Shirley and I arrived around 12:30 and the last play ended around 9:30.
The petanque was constant and competitive. We had a few new players mixed in with our crowd of regulars. We hope to get some of them back for future play.
The Wien venue has so many things going for it that it's always one of our most popular places to play. They have five challenging courts-- each one a little different. In addition, they offer a large, comfortable Rec Room with pocket billiards and ping pong, portable heaters outside, a nice fire pit with a roaring fire in cool weather, and, of course, Terry and Sue's gracious hospitality towards all!
