Petanque social

The Reeds of Deep Gap, NC, located, as you might expect, deep in the NC mountains, invited their friends and neighbors, along with Carolina Petanque members and associates, to a social gathering to celebrate the opening of their beautiful new piste.

Eleven members of Carolina Petanque and 15 to 20 Deep Gap locals attended the combination teaching-playing-socializing event.  Some of the neighbors had already played a time or two, but most were completely new to the game.

Everyone had a great time and appreciated the generous hosts providing, not only a lovely place to play, but a delicious lunch of pulled-pork sandwiches, all the fixin's, and several varieties of desserts.  We hope to be invited back again soon.
