Bo  giving US World Team Member Juan Garcia (and  Mario Olivieri) a few pointers.

CarolinaPetanque's Bo and Kirk Edwards traveled to the Boca Petanque 2000 tournament in Boca Raton Florida on May 27^th 2012. The tournament's format saw the group divided into pointers and shooters and partners were exchanged each game. Individuals accumulated points that determined the final games and rankings. Bo pointed extremely well and Kirk held his own shooting and that placed them both into the semifinals; unfortunately no luck for the CarolinaPetanque members advancing into the finals.

“It was a great tournament with some stiff competition. I enjoyed the different format and got to learn a few new techniques since we played with different partners each game. We appreciate all the hospitality from the south Florida players and from Boca Petanque 2000 club who made us feel right at home. Special thanks to John Rolland, Jose Metrieze, and Juan Garcia for their help. We enjoyed it so much we played with the south Florida players at John Price Park in Lakeworth, Florida, the following Sunday.” Kirk said.
