String refresh at Miller Park

 

 

Many thanks to Preston, Jane, and Fred for helping Shirley and me on our planned date for re-stringing Thursday, August 4.

The job was planned to have the courts ready for the mini-Panache tournament happening on Sunday, August 7, at Miller Park (2500 Queen St., Winston-Salem, NC).

Morganton again

 

Since we played in Morganton on Thursday, we spent Thursday and Friday night in Lincolnton and were able to make it back for the Saturday session as well.

Despite drawing a strong partner, Sue Daniels, thrre times in a row, we were only able to come away with one win in three attempts. That Morganton crowd is getting to be fierce competition!

Morganton is still on a twice-a-week play schedule. Join us sometime on either Thursday or Saturday mornings at 9:00. Early enough to at least beat some of the summer heat.

Another good crowd at Tanger Gardens on Wednesday morning. Mel continued his recent tradition of bringing home-baked goods for a treat.

July 24th at Miller Park

 

We had a few visitors along with our regulars on a hot Sunday at Miller Park (2500 Queen St, Winston-Salem). We welcomed Al & Heidi from Athens, Ga., and new players Rich, Celine, and Malone from the local area.

Almost still newlyweds, Bob & Kelly, posed for their club mugshots in anticipation of the upcoming Mid-America Select Triples in Asheville in August.
